Ryan Adams Covers Danzig’s “Mother”

Ryan Adams has been covering metal tunes on a more frequent basis, and this one comes from a show in Paris – he does Danzig‘s iconic “Mother”.

A cool comment on the YouTube page right now (which is rare) reads, “This is really cool. Now if only the people who think metal is crap, they should listen to this and they will see that these ‘silly noisy’ metal bands can construct brilliant songs…”. Ryan Adams’ involvement certainly helps.

Union Sound Podcast Episode 36: Freddy Adu

One of the longer episodes of the season, but for good reason. Joined this week by the youngest guy (then) to have signed a professional sports contract in over 100 years in the United States at age 14, Freddy Adu.

Now 22 years old, with 8 years of pro experience, he sits down with me in the PPL Park dining room to talk in-depth about his path from MLS to Europe and back here, to the Philadelphia Union.
