It’s Fat Tuesday. I know that because you can buy beads at stoplights today. I’m sure you can “earn” them at stoplights too. I figured I’d devote this week’s YOUmusic TUBEsday to a really cool New Orleans’ brass band that is giving away some free tunes during Mardi Gras (free until the 27th). I think The Soul Rebels transcend traditional New Orleans music (they opened for Metallica, dude), but there’s no denying the obvious roots and the obvious importance of a band like this carrying their message to far away places.
